The inaugural JU-EWC Geography Conference was held on the EWC campus (Sept. 8, 2007). The conference was the culmination of a multi-department/institutional effort w/ faculty representation from EWC's Mathematics & Sociology Departments and JU's Geography Department as well as the Florida Geographic Alliance (event co-sponsor).
Through workshops and hands-on activities, the conference exposed a group of pre-registered K-12,Florida public/private school teachers from multiple disciplines to information on the importance of geography, its many uses/applications, and on how it can be incorporated across curricula.
