Applicants are classified as international students if the applicants require the College to issue an I-20 Form to be presented to the Immigration and Naturalization Service for a student visa. Students who have been admitted to the United States as immigrants and have been issued resident alien numbers are not classified as international students for admission purposes.
International Students must submit:
1. A completed Edward Waters College Admissions Application. 2. A certified English translation of the high school transcript or a certified English translation of all college transcript(s).
3. A certified English translation of the high school transcript or a certified English translation of all college transcript(s).
4. Proof of proficiency in the use of the English Language. Those students from non-speaking English countries must submit an original copy of satisfactory scores on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language Examination), available through the Educational Testing Service, Box 899, Princeton, NJ 08540.
5. A $75.00 nonrefundable application fee.
All international students must submit items 1 ¡V 5 to the Office of Admissions at least 60 days prior to the applicant´s initial term of enrollment. International students accepted for admissions will be notified and issued a Form I-20A as required by the U.S. Department of Justice. Each international student accepted must submit proof of compliance with the mandatory health and accident insurance requirement. All international students must enroll in a minimum of twelve hours for the fall and spring term, and six hours for any given summer term.
U. S. Immigration and Naturalization Service Laws & Regulations Student's are responsible for complying fully with non-immigrant alien requirements established under US Laws, Section 101 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. EWC is required to report to the Immigration Office non-immigrant alien students who:
1. Do not register at the College at the time required.
2. Do not carry a full course of study.
3. Do not attend classes to the extent required for successful progress
