- EWC faculty members are solely responsible for evaluating the work and/or performance of students and for assigning appropriate grades;
- Students have a right to receive a grade assigned upon a fair and unprejudiced evaluation based on a method that is neither arbitrary nor capricious;
- Instructors have the right to assign a grade based on methods that are professionally acceptable, submitted in writing to all students, and applied equally; and
- Students have a right to know the criteria by which their academic performance will be evaluated and to know the bases for calculating scores and grades. Modifications to such must be communicated clearly and in a timely manner by the faculty members.
