Aszloyn "Nikki" Williams-Wakefield, Ed.S., graduated from Edward Waters College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. During this time she completed eight years of service with the United States Army and Army National Guard. A former Miss EWC (1999) and Lady of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Wakefield went on to obtain two graduate degrees from Nova Southeastern University. She earned her Master of Science in Elementary Education in 2002 and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership in 2004.
During this time Wakefield worked as a 5th grade teacher, reading coach, and TIS (Teacher of Instructional Support) at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Jacksonville, Fla. She continues her work with the Duval County Public Schools as Assistant Principal of Sheffield Elementary School.
She is the founder of Foundations Learning, a center that provides academic and social support for children of all ages and their families. She also spends time tutoring and mentoring girls of all ages. She is very active in her church and loves the Lord with her whole heart.
Aszloyn is happily married to Theo Wakefield, Jr., and they have two wonderful children. They are the loves of her life.
