While attending EWC, she was a chartering member of the Purple Thunder and performed across the Southeast with the marching band from 2003-2006. Johns was also a member of the EWC Concert Choir under the direction of Dr. Samuel Shingles and performed with artists such as Stephanie Mills, Ray Charles and the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra.  In 2004, she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and served as Anti-Basileus for Nu Iota chapter. She was also a student ambassador, and a member of the homecoming committee and the campus beautification program.

In 2007, Johns was accepted into the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Life University in Marietta, Ga. While matriculating, she accumulated 4700 classroom and clinical hours focusing on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the nervous, muscular and skeletal systems and the effects these disorders have on general patient health. In March 2011, she was awarded a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and became the first doctor in her family.

Johns currently resides in Atlanta and continues to progress her passion for chiropractics and her enthusiasm for providing a holistic and drugless approach to health care.
