Marilyn L. Mack enters her ninth year as the head coach of the Lady Tigers Volleyball program. In 2002, Marilyn Mack was hired and inherited a team that finished 2-18 in the Eastern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (EIAC). The Lady Tigers' losing record did not hinder her enthusiasm and dedication. The team's success over the next two seasons showed a tribute to her commitment and determination that turned EWC Women Volleyball into a successful program. During her third season in 2004, she led the Lady Tigers who achieved All-Conference honors, and was selected as the "EIAC Coach of the Year." With a change in Atlantic Conferences over the years, Coach Mack has sincerely focused on laying a new foundation for the Lady Tigers Volleyball program. In 2011, she returned to the Tiger staff following a leave of absence. This year in the Gulf Coast Atlantic Conference (GCAC), her goal is set to compete at 110%, making a journey to the Nationals.
After finishing her career as a standout college player, she played semi-professional basketball in the Bahamas. She has also served as a coach in the Leon County Public School System for over ten years in Tallahassee, FL. Prior to coming to Edward Waters College, Mack served two years as the graduate assistant coach for the women's volleyball team at Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL. During that time she earned her Master's Degree in Physical Education.
A graduate of Fayetteville State University, the Florence, SC native brings an astounding quantity of athletic and academic experience to Edward Waters College. She plans to inspire positive approaches, as well as instill team pride. "Positive Priorities Prosper, because I can and I will SUCCEED" is Coach Mack's motto. She serves as a Physical Education instructor and the Assistant Coach for the Cross Country/Track & Field programs at Edward Waters College. Ms. Mack is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree at the United States Sports Academy.

Temeka Thomas enters her third year as an assistant coach of the Lady Tigers Volleyball team, where she works with middle blockers. Thomas is a former Edward Waters College basketball and volleyball player. During that time, she was a four-year starter who played middle blocker. Thomas earned several honors including "Most Valuable Player" and an All-Conference selection during her collegiate career. She finished her career being ranked third in the nation in solo blocks (64) for the 2007 season.
Thomas graduated from Edward Waters College, receiving her B.S. in Physical Education in 2008. A native of Tampa, FL, she played basketball at Chamberlain High School earning post season honors. An avid lover of the game, she is motivated in making sure that all women volleyball players complete their education while attending EWC.
Ms. Thomas is currently the Project Manager for "Team-Up" at Lake Forest Elementary School located in Jacksonville, FL.
