Accreditation Sanction Lifted for Edward Waters College
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.— Edward Waters College is pleased to announce its 12-month sanction with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges has been lifted. The decision was announced Tuesday at SACS’ annual meeting.
During the past 12 months, EWC was responsible for improving faculty adequacy and providing more comprehensive documentation on its program outcomes and quality enhancement plan. A report outlining the changes was submitted for SACS to review in September.
“From the beginning, we were confident that the issues could be properly addressed in the appropriate timeframe,” said President Nathaniel Glover. “Now, we are poised to continue enhancing our programs and campus environment as we enter the new year.”
EWC will be considered for decennial reaffirmation in 2015.
