Jacksonville, Fla. - Eric W. Jackson, Ph.D., now serves as the Interim Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and began in this position on February 17, 2014.
With over 30 years of experience in student affairs and enrollment areas, Dr. Jackson has the experience and training needed to build and maintain stellar student services that are responsive to the needs of current and potential students. He has a successful history of transforming all areas of student affairs and improving freshmen retention and graduation rates. He is an executive leader and has assisted in devising and administering college policies and developing long range goals and objectives.
Dr. Jackson has an in-depth understanding of Institutional Effectiveness and fully comprehends polices and requirements of regional accrediting agencies. He has served on accreditation leadership teams and co-chaired of the Quality Enhancement Plan Committee at Paine College. He was tapped by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to serve on a task force charged with developing a training program for student affairs evaluators.
Dr. Jackson holds the Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Capella University (Minnesota), the M.A. degree in Political-Science from Ohio State University, and the B.A. degree in Political-Science from Barber-Scotia College (North Carolina). Dr. Jackson also completed the Prospective Presidents Workshop sponsored by the Central Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church in April of 2010, the Executive Leadership Summit (On The Road To The Presidency) at Hampton University in November of 2008, the Institute for Educational Management (IEM) at Harvard University in July of 2003, the Nissan-ETS Institute for Chief Student Affairs Administrators in July of 2001, and the Affirmative Action Training Program at Montclair State University, in Upper Montclair New Jersey in 1988.
