The Relaxation Room
The EWC Counseling Center invites you to use our newly opened Relaxation Room, located in the George N. Collins Student Union Building (S.U.B.). In our efforts to enhance the holistic approach to student development, the Relaxation Room is designed for students to develop and practice the relaxation skills that will enhance their academic productivity and their sense of well-being.
Educational materials are available on physical and emotional topics. Brochures are free and online audio/visual materials are accessible for listening and viewing.
Guidelines to Using the Relaxation Room:
You must have a valid EWC ID in order to reserve time and use of the Relaxation Room.
You will need to complete a brief stress factor inventory prior to using the room.
Sessions in the Relaxation Room are limited to 30 minutes including 15 minutes in our large recliner message chair with soft lighting and soothing music.
You are expected to leave the Relaxation Room in the same condition you found it.
Only one person at at time may use the room.
If you would like to schedule an appointment to use the room, please call 904-470-8990 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also drop by and sign-up at the desk in the Counseling Center.
