End Violence Against Women on College Campuses
Edward Waters College has been contracted by ENSYNC Diversified Management Services, Inc. to organize, develop, and implement programs at Edward Waters College that address Violence Against Women (VAW) on college/university campuses.

This project targets female students of all ages and will train/educate faculty, staff, and campus security concerning critical issues associated with VAW. Specific workshops areas are domestic violence, date violence, sexual violence, and stalking.

End Violence Against Women on College Campuses programs and events are scheduled through May 2010. Check our Web site periodically for information about upcoming events.

Peer-2-Peer Training Leadership Project
The Edward Waters College's Counseling Department is conducting a Peer Educators project that is innovative, proactive, and culturally sensitive to the needs of our African American student population. The program will expand prevention, awareness, and educational services offered through the Center.

Peer Educators will be able to indentify at-risk students and make the appropriate referrals. Peer Educator training will be provided for 40 students per academic year who are in good standing with the College. Twenty peers have been trained. The next training session will be held in March and April.
