Project Care - Suicide Prevention Program


Funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)

The central purpose of Project Care in collaboration with the Counseling Center, is to increase the
capacity for service delivery and improve the quality and intensity of suicide prevention education
and training services for the student body at Edward Waters College. Specific populations targeted
for these services include:

•    The student body at Edward Waters College, both resident and non-resident,
•    Gatekeepers – administrators, faculty, counseling professionals, residence life and athletic
programs, security staff, college chaplain services, and student advisors,
•    Student Government Association, Greek Organizations, faith-based organizations and informal
student leaders,
•    Parents, surrogate parents, and/or significant others.
