Hernandez and Holmes are Named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes

Kansas City, Missouri-The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its Daktronics-NAIA Women’s Softball Scholar-Athletes for 2017. Junior outfielder Marissa Hernandez (JR/Tampa, Florida) and Senior outfielder Tremia Holmes (SR/Miami, Florida) were EWC’s representatives for this academic year.
Hernandez and Holmes join a group of 395 women’s softball student-athletes from around the country that make up this year’s list. In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
